The lactate test – anaerobic threshold assessment is carried out on a treadmill or on the athlete’s own bike using a square‑wave incremental protocol. Heart rate is monitored with a heart‑rate monitor and blood samples are taken to measure blood lactate.
The test is used to determine the anaerobic threshold and to monitor fitness levels throughout the season. It provides key individualized intensity parameters to use in both training and competition.

Lactate Test – Anaerobic Threshold
Come funziona
How it works
The incremental exercise test is performed on a treadmill or bike, with workloads that increase step by step while heart rate and blood lactate are monitored. As intensity rises, blood lactate levels are measured to identify the anaerobic threshold – the point at which the body starts producing lactate faster than it can clear it.

SPORT‑FOCUSED SERVICE
This service is designed to identify anaerobic threshold and track fitness across the season, and is particularly recommended for endurance athletes such as runners, cyclists and triathletes.
