This package provides a tailored service with tests selected specifically for the endurance athlete, to accurately assess the body’s potential with performance goals in mind.
The tests are performed in the lab on a treadmill or on the athlete’s own bike to ensure optimal performance conditions.
What is the FatMax Test? It is a submaximal incremental test used to determine the exercise intensity at which the body oxidizes the maximum amount of fat (Fat Oxidation Rate), i.e. the point at which lipid metabolism reaches its peak before decreasing as intensity increases.
What is the MetabolicEfficiency (MEF) Test? It is a test that analyzes the appropriate race intensity based on the athlete’s physiological characteristics, particularly useful for endurance athletes such as marathoners and ultra/trail runners. It makes it possible to quantify the correct pace/power that can be sustained over time according to the target race.
